This Privacy Policy applies to the Share Your Party mobile app (available for Android and iOS) as well as our website shareyourparty.de. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and handle it confidentially in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

2. PURPOSE OF THE APP

Share Your Party is an event discovery and ticketing app that allows users aged 13 and above to:

Discover events in their area
Buy and sell tickets for events
Share events with friends
Build a community of event attendees and organizers

3. DATA PROCESSED BY THE APP

We process various types of data to provide you with the best possible app experience.

3.1 ACCOUNT DATA (UPON REGISTRATION)

Mandatory information upon registration:

Username – For identification in the app
Email address – For account management and important notifications
Password – Stored encrypted, never in plain text
Date of birth – For age verification (minimum age 13 years)

Optional information:

Interests – Music, Gastronomy, Business, Sports, Outdoor, On the Roof, Theme, Boat, Other (for personalized event recommendations)
Profile picture – If you want to upload a photo
Description – Optional self-description
Location – Automatically captured if you grant location permission

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract fulfillment) for mandatory information
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) for optional information

3.2 SOCIAL LOGIN DATA

If you sign in via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive the following data from the respective provider:

Name
Email address
Profile picture (optional)
Registration date
Unique user ID of the provider

3.3 EVENT AND TICKET DATA

Regarding events, we receive the following data:

Attended events
Purchased tickets (ticket number, price, event details)
Sold tickets (if you are an event organizer)
Event favorites and saved events
Check-in data at events (if you use our check-in)

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract fulfillment)

3.4 PAYMENT INFORMATION

When purchasing event tickets through our app, payments are processed via Stripe. The following data is processed:

Credit card or payment data (transmitted directly to Stripe)
Transaction history (date, amount, event)
Billing address

IMPORTANT: Complete credit card data is NOT stored on our servers, but exclusively processed encrypted via Stripe. We only receive an anonymized transaction ID.

3.5 LOCATION DATA

If you grant location permission, we collect:

Current location (GPS coordinates) – To show events near you
City/Region – For event recommendations

Usage:

Display of events in your area
Personalized event recommendations based on your location
Map display of event locations

Control: You can choose in your profile settings whether your location is displayed to other users.

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

3.6 DEVICE INFORMATION

We automatically collect the following technical data:

Device type and model
Operating system and version (Android/iOS)
App version
Unique device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
IP address
Language and time zone
Mobile network information

Purpose: Technical operation, error diagnosis, security

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest)

3.7 USAGE BEHAVIOR

We collect the following data when using the app:

App usage statistics (which features are used)
Clicks and interactions within the app
Search histories and filter preferences
Session duration and frequency of app usage
Crash reports and performance data

Purpose: App improvement, personalization, error analysis

3.9 SOCIAL MEDIA FEATURES & POSTS

Share Your Party offers you the opportunity to create posts about events and share them with other users. The following data is processed:

Post content:

Texts and descriptions – Your written content
Images and photos – Visual content uploaded by you
Timestamp – When the post was created
Event link – Which event the post belongs to
Author information – Your username and profile picture
Hashtags and mentions – If you tag other users (@username) or use hashtags

Visibility settings:

You can choose for each post who can see it:

Only for me – Only you can see the post (private)
Only for subscribers – Only users who follow you can see the post
Public – All Share Your Party users can see the post

Interaction data:

Likes/Reactions – Who liked your post
Comments – Comments on your posts (with username and timestamp)
Shares – How often your post was shared
Views – How many users viewed your post
Follower/Subscriber list – Who follows you and whom you follow

Feed and recommendations:

We use an algorithm to show you relevant posts in the feed. We consider:

Your interests and past interactions
Events you favorited or attended
Posts from users you follow
Popular and trending content

Deletion of posts:

You can delete your posts at any time in the app.

IMPORTANT: Deleted posts will no longer be visible to other users, but remain stored in our database for a certain period:

For you: Deleted posts are immediately invisible
In the database: Posts are marked as "deleted" for 30 days (for moderation purposes and to prevent abuse)
Final deletion: After 30 days, posts and associated images are permanently deleted

Reporting inappropriate content:

Users can report posts that violate our community guidelines. Upon report:

The post is reviewed by our moderation team
We store the report with timestamp and reporting user
The post may be removed if it violates our guidelines
Repeated violations may result in account suspension

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest) for feed algorithm and moderation
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) for public posts and sharing on social media

3.10 EVENT CREATION FOR ORGANIZERS

As an event organizer, you can create and manage your own events in the Share Your Party app. The following data is processed:

Mandatory information for event creation:

Date & Time – When the event takes place
Location/Venue – Address or location of the event (with GPS coordinates for map display)
Number of guests – Maximum number of participants
Event type – Type of event
Event category – Event category (e.g., Music, Gastronomy, Business, Sports, Outdoor, On the Roof, Theme, Boat, Other)
Music type – What music will be played
Additional offers – Extras such as pool, drinks & food, etc.
Event name – Title of the event
Description – Detailed description of the event
Restrictions – Special rules or requirements (e.g., dress code)
Minimum age – Age restriction for the event
Event photo – Cover image for the event

Visibility settings for events:

As an organizer, you can choose who can see your event:

Public – All Share Your Party users can find the event and buy tickets
Only for subscribers – Only users who follow you can see the event
Only for specific friends – You select specific users who can see the event (private events)

Additional data:

Organizer profile – Your username and profile picture are linked to the event
Ticket information – If you sell tickets: price, availability, ticket categories
Participant list – Who bought tickets (visible to you as organizer)
Check-in status – Who attended the event
Event statistics – Views, favorites, shared events

Deletion of events:

You can delete your events under certain conditions:

Deletion possible: As long as NO tickets have been sold, you can delete the event at any time
Deletion NOT possible: Once at least one ticket has been sold, the event can no longer be deleted (protection of ticket buyers)

Upon event deletion, the following is deleted:

All event details and descriptions
Event photos
Event statistics
Links to categories and tags

Event moderation:

Events can be reported by other users if they violate our community guidelines. Upon report:

The event is reviewed by our moderation team
The event may be removed if it violates our guidelines (e.g., fake events, inappropriate content)
Repeated violations may result in suspension of your organizer account

What data do ticket buyers see?

When someone buys a ticket for your event, you as organizer receive:

Buyer's username
Number of purchased tickets
Purchase date
Check-in status at the event

NOT transmitted: Email address, date of birth, full profile data (unless the buyer makes their profile publicly visible)

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest) for event moderation and statistics

4. PERMISSIONS USED BY THE APP

The Share Your Party app requires the following device permissions. You will always be asked before we access these functions:

IMPORTANT: You can revoke all permissions at any time in your device settings. Please note that some app functions may no longer be available.

5. USE OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our app uses various third-party services to provide you with the best possible experience:

5.1 FIREBASE (GOOGLE)

Services used:

Firebase Analytics – For analyzing app usage
Firebase Crashlytics – For capturing app crashes and errors
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – For push notifications

Processed data: Device IDs, usage statistics, crash data, IP address

Data transfer: Data may be transferred to the USA (with EU standard contractual clauses)

5.2 GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Purpose: Analysis of app usage to improve our services

Purpose: Secure processing of payments for event tickets

5.4 OPENSTREETMAP

Purpose: Display of event locations on interactive maps

Processed data: IP address, location data for map display

5.5 META SDK (FACEBOOK/WHATSAPP/INSTAGRAM)

Purpose: Enables sharing of events on WhatsApp and Instagram

Processed data: Event details you want to share; device information

Data transfer: Data is transferred to the USA

5.6 SENDGRID (EMAIL DELIVERY)

Purpose: Sending transactional emails (ticket confirmations, password reset, account updates, registration)

5.7 GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES

6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

6.1 STORAGE LOCATION

Your data is stored on secure servers:

Server location: Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Region eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany)
Database: MongoDB
Backup locations: Within the European Union

IMPORTANT: Your main data is stored and processed exclusively in the EU. When using some third-party services (e.g., Firebase, Stripe, SendGrid), data may be transferred to the USA. These transfers are based on EU standard contractual clauses according to Art. 46 GDPR.

6.2 SECURITY MEASURES

We protect your data through comprehensive security measures:

Encrypted transmission: All data is transmitted encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
Encrypted storage: Passwords are hashed; sensitive data is stored encrypted
Access controls: Only authorized employees have access to user data (principle of least privilege)
Firewalls and intrusion detection: Our servers are protected by modern security systems
Regular security updates: All systems are updated promptly
Secure payment processing: Payment data is processed exclusively via PCI-DSS certified partners (Stripe)

6.3 STORAGE DURATION

We store your data only as long as necessary for the respective purposes.

7. DATA SHARING

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:

We work with carefully selected service providers (see Section 5). These process data only on our behalf and are contractually obligated to comply with GDPR.

7.3 FOR LEGAL REASONS

If we are legally obligated (e.g., court orders)
To protect our rights or the rights of third parties
To prevent fraud or abuse

7.4 EVENT ORGANIZERS

When you buy a ticket for an event, the event organizer receives the following information:

Your username
Number of purchased tickets
Check-in status

8. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

8.1 RIGHT OF ACCESS (ART. 15 GDPR)

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we have stored about you at any time.

8.2 RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION (ART. 16 GDPR)

You can correct incorrect or incomplete data at any time. Most data can be changed directly in the app under "Settings → Edit Profile".

8.3 RIGHT TO ERASURE (ART. 17 GDPR)

You can request the deletion of your data. See Section 9 for details on account deletion.

8.4 RIGHT TO RESTRICTION OF PROCESSING (ART. 18 GDPR)

You can request the restriction of processing of your data, e.g., if you dispute the accuracy of the data.

8.5 RIGHT TO DATA PORTABILITY (ART. 20 GDPR)

You can request your data in a structured, common, and machine-readable format (e.g., JSON).

8.6 RIGHT TO OBJECT (ART. 21 GDPR)

You can object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest.

8.7 RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT (ART. 7 PARA. 3 GDPR)

You can withdraw given consents at any time:

Location permission: In device settings
Push notifications: In app settings or device settings
Analytics/Tracking: Via the cookie banner on the website

8.8 EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

9. ACCOUNT DELETION

You can delete your Share Your Party account completely at any time.

9.1 DELETION DIRECTLY IN THE APP

Open the Share Your Party app
Go to "Settings"
Scroll down to "Delete Account"
Confirm deletion

9.2 DELETION VIA EMAIL

Alternatively, you can send a deletion request via email:

9.3 WHAT WILL BE DELETED?

Upon account deletion, the following data will be deleted:

Your profile (username, bio, profile picture)
Your personal information (email, date of birth)
Your event preferences and interests
Your saved events and favorites
Your usage statistics
Your login data

9.4 WHAT WILL BE RETAINED?

For legal reasons, we must retain the following data:

Payment and invoice data: 10 years (legal retention obligation under Austrian tax law)
Transaction history: Anonymized for accounting purposes
Fraud and abuse data: If your account was suspended due to violations

This data is stored in such a way that it can no longer be associated with you as a person.

10. SPECIAL NOTES FOR MINORS

Our app is intended for users aged 13 and above. We know how important the protection of minors' data is.

10.1 AGE VERIFICATION

Upon registration, you must provide your date of birth. Users under 13 years cannot create an account.

10.2 PARENTAL CONSENT (13-16 YEARS)

According to GDPR, children under 16 years in the EU require consent from their parents or legal guardians for the processing of their personal data.

TO PARENTS AND LEGAL GUARDIANS: If your child is between 13 and 16 years old and wants to use our app, we ask you to read this Privacy Policy together. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at office@shareyourparty.de.

10.3 SPECIAL PROTECTIVE MEASURES

We moderate event content to keep it age-appropriate
In case of suspected abuse, we immediately suspend the affected accounts

11. COOKIES AND TRACKING

Our website shareyourparty.de uses cookies and similar technologies. Details can be found in our separate cookie policy on the website.

In the app: We do not use traditional browser cookies, but app-specific tracking technologies (see Section 5 - Firebase, Google Analytics).

12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to adapt it to changed legal situations or changed app functions.

In case of significant changes, we will inform you through:
